Do you allow pets, etc?

Gulf Swells & Sea Shells is a Non-Smoking House. No Pets are allowed, No Student Groups are allowed. No Student or Spring Break Parties are allowed. No Parties or Events are allowed without the owner's express written permission. Maximum guests age 16 or older is 6. The maximum number of guests allowed in the house is 10.

Can you drink the water, or do you have to bring bottled water?
Houses on the island receive their water from a well. Gulf Swells and Seashells has a reverse osmosis system. No need to bring additional water!

Can we request an early check-in or late check-out?

During peak weeks we are not able to accommodate early check-ins or late check-outs.
Almost all our houses are back to back (check-out/check-in) rentals and
require 9 AM check-out time to ensure the house is ready in time for 4 PM check-in.

 

What do we do if we arrive on the island early?

If you arrive prior to 4 PM you will have access to the golf cart(s), pool, bathroom and

North Captiva Island Club facilities.

 

Are there any condiments, spices, aluminum foil, etc. provided at the house?

All perishable items are removed from the house after each rental. Items may be left by guests or the homeowners, but we recommend bringing your own. We cannot guarantee what will be in the house at the time of your rental as none of these items are supplied.

Are there any pool rafts or beach toys?
These items are not provided by the homeowner. There may be some items left by previous guests. We recommend purchasing these items prior to your arrival. Mangos does sell some items like this but are more expensive than your typical store.

 

Are there any baby items such as a crib, pack n play, or highchair available at the house?

Gulf Swells and Seashells has a pack n play and baby gates. Tortuga offers pack n plays (free of charge), high chairs (free of charge), and one travel crib (smaller than standard crib), that may be rented for $50.00 for the week or a full-size portable crib for $100.00 for the week. Please reserve in advance as quantities are limited.

Are there fishing poles?

Boats and Fun offers rental of fishing poles and sells bait and tackle. Boats and Fun also offer paddleboard/Kayak rentals, boat rentals, and bike rentals.
