Are pets, smoking, or parties allowed?

 

Gulf Swells & Sea Shells is a non-smoking vacation home. Pets, parties, special events, and student or Spring Break groups are not permitted.

​

Our home comfortably accommodates up to 10 guests, making it a wonderful choice for families and groups traveling together.

Is the drinking water safe, or should we bring bottled water?

​

Gulf Swells & Sea Shells uses well water and has a reverse osmosis drinking water filtration system. Filtered drinking water is available at the house, so there's no need to bring bottled water unless you prefer it.

​

Can we request an early check-in or late check-out?

​

Check-in begins at 4:00 PM, and check-out is by 9:00 AM.

 

Because our home is often booked with guests arriving and departing on the same day, early check-ins and late check-outs generally cannot be accommodated. This allows our cleaning team enough time to prepare the home for incoming guests.

 

Please plan your travel arrangements around these times.

 

What if we arrive on North Captiva Island before check-in?

If you arrive before our 4:00 PM check-in time, you're welcome to explore North Captiva Island, enjoy the beach, or grab a bite to eat while waiting for your vacation home to be ready.

​

Please note that access to the house, private pool, and golf cart is not guaranteed before check-in. We recommend coordinating your water taxi arrival with your scheduled check-in time.

Are condiments, spices, aluminum foil, and other kitchen supplies provided?

​

​Our kitchen is fully equipped with cookware, dishes, utensils, and appliances to make preparing meals easy.

​

Condiments, spices, aluminum foil, plastic wrap, and other consumable food items are not guaranteed. Occasionally, items may be left behind by previous guests, but we recommend bringing or purchasing anything specific you'll need during your stay.

Are pool floats, rafts, and beach toys provided?

Pool floats, rafts, and beach toys are not provided as standard amenities. Occasionally, previous guests may leave items behind, but their availability cannot be guaranteed.

We recommend purchasing or bringing any specific items you'd like to enjoy during your stay. Some beach and pool supplies may also be available for purchase on the island.

 

Are there any baby items, such as a crib, pack 'n play, or high chair, available at the house?

Yes! Gulf Swells & Sea Shells is family-friendly and provides a travel crib, highchair/booster seat, and baby gate for guests traveling with little ones.

​

Please bring your own crib or Pack 'n Play sheets and any additional baby supplies you may need during your stay.

Fishing poles are not provided at Gulf Swells & Sea Shells, but local businesses such as Boats & Fun offer fishing pole rentals, bait, and tackle.

Boats & Fun also offers boat, kayak, paddleboard, and bicycle rentals for guests who want to explore North Captiva Island and the surrounding waters.
