Getting to North Captiva Island is part of the adventure!
Our beautiful island is accessible only by boat or aircraft, making it a peaceful escape from busy mainland life.
Most guests arrive through Southwest Florida International Airport (RSW), travel to a nearby marina, and take a water taxi to North Captiva.
Below you'll find information about airports, driving directions, ground transportation, and water taxi services to help make your arrival as smooth as possible.

Southwest Florida International Airport (RSW) – Fort Myers, approximately 36 miles to Pineland Marina.

Punta Gorda Airport (PGD) – Approximately 40 miles to Pineland Marina.

Sarasota Bradenton International Airport (SRQ) – Approximately 90 miles to Pineland Marina.

Tampa International Airport (TPA) – Approximately 139 miles to Pineland Marina.
Guests can arrange ground transportation or rent a vehicle to reach the marina. Please allow sufficient time between your flight arrival and scheduled water taxi departure.
Directions & Ground Transportation
Driving to Pineland Marina
From Interstate 75, take Exit 143 and head west on Pine Island Road (FL-78).
Continue through Matlacha and turn right onto Stringfellow Road.
Travel approximately 3 miles north, then turn left onto Pineland Road. Follow the road as it becomes Waterfront Drive.

Parking is available at the marina. Contact the marina for current parking rates and arrangements.
Ground Transportation:
Guests flying into Southwest Florida can arrange transportation to Pineland Marina through an airport shuttle service or rental car.
We recommend making transportation arrangements in advance and coordinating your arrival with your scheduled water taxi departure.
If your flight is delayed, notify your transportation provider as soon as possible.
Water Taxi To North Captiva
Water taxi transportation is required for guests arriving by boat without their own vessel. Reservations should be made well in advance of your arrival.
Both scheduled shared water taxis and private charters may be available. We recommend booking your arrival and departure trips as soon as your vacation dates are confirmed.

Island Girl Charters provides water taxi transportation from Pineland Marina to North Captiva Island.
Departure times and rates vary, so please contact Island Girl Charters directly to confirm schedules, pricing, and availability.
Important: When making your reservation, request Mainstay (formerly Barnacle's) as your arrival location.
